Richardsons has long been used to working closely with the client to achieve 'best solution' for a wide range of problem situations. The fundamental concepts and principles of Value Management are therefore an integral part of the way we do business.
Even before appointment as principle contractor it is essential that we understand the needs of the client and identify what the priority Values are for any given project. |
|
Every project is different and the perceptions of what constitutes value can be just as varied. The most frequent value requirements for many of our clients are cost and duration, but there are often more complex issues to resolve.
Our approach to Value Management is based on the following principles:-
- Early identification of and continuous focus on what constitutes 'value'.
- Understanding the degree of freedom by establishing at an early stage the areas we are able to influence and the extent to which we can exert that influence.
- Seeking practical and innovative alternatives with the purpose of engineering maximum value.
- To promote an effective team spirit through open dialogue and good communications.
- Working as an integral part of the project team in a non-confrontational atmosphere and with a sense of combined purpose.
